Three businesses, one entrepreneurial approach

Private Equity

Verdoso is a reference shareholder, driven by a strong entrepreneurial culture and nearly 30 years of experience supporting companies in transformation. We operate without sector constraints, alongside growing or changing companies seeking a committed long-term partner.

Real Estate

Verdoso has been successfully investing in real estate for over twenty years, deploying equity and credit across all asset classes and regions. The group holds genuine operational expertise in managing hotel and residential real-estate assets.

Listed Assets

Verdoso invests in public markets with the same entrepreneurial discipline, powered by Cassandra, its proprietary platform: risk consolidated continuously, forecasts confronted with reality and scored over time by the Brier score. Capital backs convictions that have already proven right.

Our expertise

Supporting SMEs & mid-caps

Our expertise extends to:

  • carve-outs from large groups,
  • the acquisition of so-called "orphan" companies (without strategic support, facing complex operational challenges or specific sector risks),
  • support for companies in turnaround situations or insolvency proceedings,
  • support for Search Funds.

Our approach is operational: we mobilise the intensity and expertise needed — finance, operational excellence, supply chain, sourcing, technology, automation and AI — to build sustainable growth trajectories, with no imposed exit horizon.

At Verdoso, investment is for the long term, serving an industrial project shared with management teams.

Real Estate

Real-estate acquisition & management

Verdoso has invested in real estate with a contrarian approach for over 20 years. As early as 2009, it invested in Single Family Homes in the United States. Today, the group holds recognised operational expertise in real-estate asset management, across hotel and residential assets.

Proprietary technology

An operating system for every portfolio company

Verdoso designs and develops proprietary operating systems in-house — within each portfolio company and across the portfolio as a whole. Knowledge, data and processes are centralised into a single living operational layer, where artificial intelligence works continuously to streamline operations and unlock new growth levers.

Cassandra · the operating system for generational wealth
01

Centralise

Within each company, we bring together knowledge, data and processes into a single repository. Every portfolio company thus has its own operating system, which streamlines and accelerates its operations.

02

Connect

Across the portfolio, these systems communicate: data, expertise and best practices flow from one company to another, with AI agents watching, analysing and executing around the clock.

03

Unlock

Responsiveness, financial precision and operational excellence — additional growth levers, activated company after company.

Our history

An independent industrial group, since 1997

Since 1997, Verdoso has been an independent industrial group founded by Franck Ullmann to invest equity in mid-sized companies and transform them sustainably. With 2,600 employees, the group now controls 14 companies generating together nearly €600M in revenue.

A carve-out specialist, Verdoso has completed 35 acquisitions, applying its method to revitalise non-strategic activities divested by large groups: Estamfor (Arcelor), Polyane (Elf Atochem), Bouguet Pau (Pernod Ricard), NUM (Schneider Electric), Aptunion (Kerry Group), Cloisons Partena & Clips (Lafarge), Kompass (Natixis) or The Kooples (Maus).

This experience makes Verdoso the partner of choice for management teams seeking an engaged, responsive shareholder who creates long-term industrial value.

Our approach

Our philosophy

Our philosophy rests on entrepreneurial, committed ownership: management teams always invest alongside us. We bring together experts from industry, distribution and services to lead the transformation of the companies we acquire. Funded exclusively by equity, Verdoso holds patient capital with no exit constraint; finance is merely a means serving a shared industrial project. Each investment is built on a clear, quantified action plan, validated from the outset by management and employees.

Is Verdoso an independent family office?
Yes. Verdoso is an independent family office, committed for the long term since 1997.
Does Verdoso handle corporate acquisitions and carve-outs from large groups?
Yes. A specialist in carve-outs and corporate acquisitions — including special situations and turnarounds — Verdoso has completed 35 acquisitions since 1997.
Why does Verdoso favour co-investment with management?
Because alignment of interests creates an entrepreneurial dynamic: executives and shareholder aim together for long-term value creation.
What is Verdoso's typical investment horizon?
We invest equity with no exit constraint; we stay as long as needed to complete the transformation and ensure sustainable growth.
How does Verdoso build the development plan for an acquired company?
From the acquisition phase, we develop a quantified action plan with the teams, validated by employees and fully funded to guarantee its execution.
What is the role of finance in Verdoso's method?
Finance is a tool, never an end in itself: it secures the human, industrial and commercial resources essential to the project's success.
What technologies does Verdoso rely on?
Drawing on its expertise in artificial intelligence and software, Verdoso develops its own software building blocks and deploys innovative solutions such as AI voice agents.
How we invest

Patient capital, swift execution

A strategic investor

Verdoso invests exclusively in equity, ensuring full independence of decisions and swift execution. Our commitments are long-term (≈ 8 years): up to €10M per project, with an exit decided jointly once the transformation and growth are achieved.

A complementary resource

Verdoso only commits its funds after co-designing a realistic, jointly validated action plan with management. A dedicated project team drives its execution, letting management stay focused on its craft, then mobilises the financing required for the growth phase.

An ambitious partner

Verdoso targets SMEs and mid-caps with up to €250M in revenue, with viable models but facing change: leadership transition, carve-out from a large group, or the need to strengthen their balance sheet. Our involvement secures their financial structure and opens a new growth cycle.
